Rental Agreement
When you hire with What The Frock, you agree to hire our garments for a set period of time, as set out in our terms and conditions. Only you, the renter is able to wear your hired garment and therefore, it is not to be shared around while in your possession. You solely hold the responsibility for the garment during your rental period. If any damage and/or claims are made against you as a result of occurrences that happened when the garment was in your possession, regardless of whether they were your own doing or not, you will be held accountable.
The rental is for the period of time that has been agreed upon What The Frock and the renter. All rentals must be returned the following working day, unless otherwise agreed.
All prices listed are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and will not be hired outside of New Zealand.
If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian must agree to this contract. This states in summary, that we will hold you accountable to uphold the rental agreement.
We do not hold items prior to payment being received.
Garment Conditions
All our garments are given a condition status and updated regularly so you know exactly what kind of adventure she’s been on. Here's what to expect:
- Fresh & Flawless (Perfect) – Practically brand new and possibly never worn!
- Still Sparkling (Great) – She’s had one or two outings, but trust us, the sparkle’s fully intact. Barely-there signs of wear (if any), and she’s 100% ready to wow again.
- Seasoned Star (Good) – She’s had a few moments in the spotlight and wears it with pride. Still totally gorgeous on, but you might spot some gentle signs of love from previous adventures.
- Icon Status (Loved) – She’s earned her keep. This gal has stories to tell, has been out and about, and it shows in the best kind of way. We've adjusted the price to match, so only book her if you're cool with that well-worn charm.
Please remember we are a rental service, so while every piece is cleaned and cared for, they’re not fresh off the rack. Expect a touch of wear, things like teeny fabric pulls, loose threads, or soft shaping in structured styles (hello, boning!). We always do our best to call out anything major in the item description, so you’re never caught off guard.
Garment Care Add-On
Our Garment Care Add-On has your back (and your dress). For just $10, it covers minor, accidental damage during your rental, like loose threads, popped seams, or light stains to the value of $150. Think of it as a little style safety net so you can enjoy your event stress-free.
Please note it does not cover major or irreversible damage, lost or stolen items, or late returns.
The Garment Care Add-On is totally optional and can be added to any booking. Just a heads-up, if you choose not to include it, you’ll be responsible for the full cost of any damage during your rental.
Whether or not you add it, we simply ask that you treat each piece with love and care, the better we care for them, the more moments they can create for others.
